City of Durango Inlet Design and Construction
WWE performed a fast track design of a pipeline inlet and boulder rundown at Rogers Reservoir in the City of Durango. Rogers Reservoir provides the raw water supply for the city.
The design and construction of the grouted boulder and riprap rundown was completed in April, just in time for the lake to be filled for the summer season. The city project manager, Matt Holden, worked with Wayne Lorenz, Pete Foster and Jeff Nelson to accomplish the project. WWE’s Hayes Lenhart worked with Mr. Holden regarding construction observation.
The construction work was performed by Sunnyside Gravel under the supervision of Alton Hess. WWE just finished another project with Mr. Hess—construction of a water infiltration gallery near the Durango airport.
